✨ TEAM: Arene Tools Engineering ✨

The Arene team is dedicated to democratizing vehicle programming by simplifying software development and accelerating deployment frequency without compromising safety and security. This initiative aims to cultivate a new ecosystem of vehicle application developers who will integrate vehicles into our daily lives in innovative ways through software. Arene is set to revolutionize vehicle design and development, and we are collaborating closely with Toyota to achieve this vision in their next-generation vehicles.

The Arene Tools Engineering team's mission is to accelerate software delivery and enhance operational efficiency in the automotive sector by creating cutting-edge test, emulation, and simulation systems. Our goal is to enable faster software releases and improve the overall quality of automotive solutions, all while upholding an unwavering commitment to safety. Within the Tools Engineering department, the Test Rigs team provides vehicle computer hardware emulation and simulation environments, essentially "virtual vehicles," to support a "shift-left" approach in software development. This empowers automotive software engineers to meet their technical requirements in collaboration with hardware and software suppliers.

🌟 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 🌟

We are seeking technical leaders passionate about building a state-of-the-art, "software-first" automotive platform. We believe the Arene platform will fundamentally change how vehicles are manufactured. The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for technology and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We need engineers adept at constructing robust software systems to tackle complex challenges at scale. The ability to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team while fostering a collaborative atmosphere is paramount.

🚀 RESPONSIBILITIES 🚀

• Design and deliver SystemVerilog HDL for automotive test equipment.
• Contribute to hardware design decisions involving FPGA implementations.
• Develop drivers, libraries, and reference applications for interacting with test equipment.
• Develop and execute qualification tests to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Develop user guides and other documentation related to test equipment implementations.

✅ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ✅

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing SystemVerilog HDL.
• Software development experience with C or C++.
• Experience integrating time synchronization protocols such as IEEE 1588 or 802.1as.
• Experience designing and building hardware and embedded software systems for robotics, automotive, or related industries.
• Knowledge or experience with interfaces and protocols used in automotive systems (CAN, Ethernet, SERDES).

💡 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 💡

• Experience with electrical and software architectures used in automotive engineering.
• Knowledge or experience with safety (ISO 26262, ISO 21448, IEC 61508) and security (ISO 21434) standards.
